Anonymity is the fun part, so the guardrails have to be real. These are enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the app.

Every post checked before it goes up

Captions and roasts pass automated moderation first. Insults and profanity are the point and stay. Threats, sexual content involving minors, and anything encouraging self-harm never post at all.

Block someone and neither of you sees the other anywhere — posts, roasts, profile, notifications, search. Any follow between you is removed. They are never told.

Reports with teeth

One report per person per item. Once 50 different people flag the same thing it comes down automatically, without waiting for a human to wake up.

FAQ

The obvious questions.

Can anyone find out who roasted me?

Not from the app. Roasts are stripped of their author before they reach any device, and no screen or endpoint reveals one. We do keep the link internally so we can act on abuse reports and comply with a valid legal order — so "anonymous to other users" is the honest description, not "anonymous to us". The privacy policy spells this out.

Can I roast the same post twice?

No. One roast per person per post — you get one shot, so make it good. You can edit or delete your own.

What happens to a post I delete?

It disappears from every feed immediately, along with its roasts. We keep a short-lived copy so reports filed just beforehand can still be reviewed, then it goes.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete account, in the app. It removes your profile, posts and roasts. If you cannot get into the app, email hello@roastish.com from your registered address.

Is it free?

Yes. No subscription, no paywalled roasts.
